Dr. Woods is a second-generation dentist following in his father’s footsteps. Dr. Woods grew up in Mesa, AZ, where he went to Mountain View High school. He did his undergraduate studies at Arizona State and then attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry on an Army Scholarship. He practiced four years of general dentistry in the Army before specializing in endodontics.
During his time as a general dentist, he deployed to Iraq for a year. While serving in Iraq, Dr. Woods decided he wanted to specialize in endodontics, and after returning he completed his endodontic training at the University of Iowa. Dr. Woods became a Diplomate in the American Board of Endodontics in 2015. After 10 years of active duty service, he returned to Mesa to be closer to family and practice in the community he grew up in. Dr. Woods joined Red Mountain Endodontics in 2019. Dr. Woods loves to put patients at ease and strives to provide the best experience possible.
In his spare time, you can find him attending his four children’s activities, hiking, mountain biking, or just hanging out with his wife, Marie.
